A Brief History of

YPI Nurul Huda Sedati

Yayasan Pendidikan Islam (YPI) Nurul Huda Sedati (Nuhati) Sidoarjo is an Islamic Educational Institution established as manifestation of the concern of community leaders and religious scholars for the importance of providing quality education based on the Islamic Value of Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah An-Nahdliyah. Since its inception, the foundation has been commited to developing a generation of faithful, knowledgeable, and noble character, and capable of meeting the challanges of modern development.

YPI Nuhati is headquartered in Kalanganyar Village, Sedati, Sidoarjo. It was founded around 1971 by local religious figure KH. Abdullah Faqih. Starting as an Islamic Education (Madrasah Diniyah), the foundation has grown to encompass various integrated educational units, from kindergarten (KB-TK), Islamic elementary school (MI), Islamic junior high school (MTs), to Islamic senior high school (MA).

YPI Nuhati grew and developed through the spirit of mutual cooperation of the community, its founders, and the support of various parties concerned with the advancement of Islamic education. From a humble educational institution, YPI Nuhati has gradually expanded its facilities and infrastructure, improved the quality of its human resources, and refined its institutional governance system.

YPI Nuhati oversees various educational units serving students from early childhood to secondary education. Each educational unit is trained to produce graduates who excel not only in academic achievement but also possess religious, disciplined, independent, and socially responsible character.

As an institution that continues to adapt to the times, YPI Nuhati is constantly improving its organization, strengthening its foundation governance, improving the quality of its educational services, developing its curriculum, digitizing its administration, and establishing strategic partnerships with various government agencies, Islamic financial institutions, and community organizations to support the creation of professional, transparent, and accountable educational governance.

To this day, YPI Nuhati remains committed to being a superior, trusted, and competitive Islamic educational institution, while upholding Islamic values, nationalism, and a spirit of devotion to the community. Through the synergy of all foundation administrators, madrasah principals, teachers, education staff, parents, alumni, and the community, YPI Nuhati is expected to continue to be a center for the birth of a generation of intelligent, character-based Muslims who are ready to make real contributions to religion, nation, and state.
